EASY ARTNET DMX RECORDING SOFTWARE
You can perform the ArtNet DMX recording process by following the steps below. You will need a third-party animation program for the Art-Net recording process. For example, you can do this recording in programs like Jinx, Madrix, or Resolume. It is recommended to have a Wifi connection on your computer to perform the ArtNet DMX recording.
Select your network labeled wireless_XXXXX from the Ethernet section in Zenopix ArtNet Recorder. If such an option doesn’t exist, choose ethernet_xxxxx.
Make sure you have an ethernet port on your computer and that you’re connected to the network. Otherwise, you won’t be able to record.
Then, immediately click on the Connect button below, and you will see the “ArtNet Not Receiving” message in the ArtNet Receive State located at the bottom center.
This way, you can be sure you’ve connected to the network.
Make sure to perform this action without opening any of the Artnet animation programs.
Now, switch to Madrix, the ArtNet lighting animation software.
When you click on Preferences -> Device Manager in Madrix software, you will see the IP address from the Zenopix Art-Net Recorder screen in the list.
Thus, you can see the Zenopix Artnet Recorder IP address on the Madrix software. Now, the Zenopix Artnet recorder acts like an artnet device.
Now, set up your patch and start your animation. When you start the animation, you’ll obtain the view below. In the following view, you will see the ArtNet receiving message, time indicator, and the increasing size of the recorded file. Later, you can stop the recording and drop the file with the zpx extension into Zenopix Solus or Zenopix AER files.
